Hello, don't know much about Winboard,UCI but if it is just hashtable that you
want to change I think it is simple: assuming you are using Windows rightclick
on the file, Open with and then choose Notepad or Wordpad. You wil see the line
that says 'Program = prodeo.exe w7 rebel.eng' This w7 indicates the amount of
hash you use.
From the Pro Deo readme.txt:
Playing Strength issues running ChessBase
=========================================
. You can increase (or decrease) the Hash Table size by editing the
WB2UCI.ENG file. Modify the "w7" item of the parameter:
Program = prodeo.exe w7 rebel.eng
into: w1, w2,w3,w4,w5,w6,w7,w8 or w9
w1=512Kb | w2= 4Mb | w3= 12Mb | w4= 24Mb | w5=40Mb
w6= 60Mb | w7=100Mb | w8=200Mb | w9=400Mb
Save the file and restart the program. The change is permanent.
-----------------------------------------
So if you save the file, just make sure it ends with .ENG and not .TXT and you
should be in business.
