Also , it may be not coming from his computer.  My email address has been
spoofed on many many e-mails that show my legitimate email address as the
sender.  I know because I get all the rejected e-mails sent to my mail box
(quite annoying).  Many of these messages contain viruses in the attachments.
These messages did not come from my machine.

Although alerting him of the possibility is a good deed - you may want to change
your tone and be a little less harsh.
