On my "old" AthlonXP 1700+, I have 2 serial ports, and I can play games this way
with a nullmodem cable (ponder off, indeed). On my Athlon64 3000+, I get only 1
serial port, so this solution won't work.

There are some sharewares that allow to create virtual COM ports, a search with
Google will give you some urls.

And the Fritz GUI does work with network connection. Look here to know how to
connect CP and Fritz : http://membres.lycos.fr/refigny63/ (bottom) - in French.
