47% faster compiled with 64bit! This is really crazy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I thought 22% was a good average to convert 32bit time to 64bit

because according to www.spec.org

Opteron 146/246
================
73,0 sec
AMD Opteron (TM) 146
Windows XP Professional (SP1a)
Intel C/C++ 7.0 build 20021212Z

54,8 sec
AMD Opteron 246,
SuSE Linux 8.0 SLES 64 bit
SuSE gcc33 optional compiler (from SLES8 SP2)

(73,0 - 54,8) / 73,0 * 100 = 24,93%

Opteron 148/248
===============
67,0 sec
AMD Opteron (TM) 248
Windows XP Pro SP1
Intel C/C++ 7.0 build 20021212Z

52,5 sec
AMD Opteron (TM) 248
SuSE Linux 9.0 (AMD64)
SuSE gcc 3.3.1 compiler

(67 - 52,5) / 67 * 100 = 21,64%

Opteron 150/250
===============
58.3 sec
AMD Opteron (TM) 150
Windows XP Pro SP1a
Intel C++ 8.0 build 20031229Z

45.6 sec
AMD Opteron (TM) 150
SuSE Linux 8.0 SLES 64 bit (SP3)
SuSE optional gcc 3.3 compiler (20030312) (from SLES8 SP3)

(58.3 - 45.6) / 58.3 * 100 = 21,78%

The Microsoft compiler rocks with 64-bit compile (MSVC 2005 Beta)
Go-go-go Eugene. Make the nodes equal! :-)

I was thinking to switch to SuSe ... but maybe this is not necesarry :-)
