Ok. I heart a different more sensable explaination recently.

The dual memory controller can address 128bit at once.
The single memory controller can adress 64bit at once.

With 128bit way it can do faster copying instructions, etc as the 64bit way.
Very handy for multi media puproses like video processing. For chess a bit less
handy but still a improvement of 4.18%
