Atleast to make it worth something they should have included additional >engines (considering the price we users have to pay) possibly latest versions. I think CB9 is worth over CB8 for me personally: 1) CB9 supports databases more as 4.1 million games ... this is a big plus over Cb8 with merging very large databases. Big / Mega Database contains already 2,607,013 games so reaching this limit should be not difficult to do so. 2) Easier to: * see what are all played moves from a certain position * filter certain games on rating, gender, etc * sorting games. 3) Easier sorting 4) Better opening clasification 5) See the name of a certain eco opening 6) Integration with playchess.com 7) Configure columns, order of columns, sorting of views, and memorize them. I did not read yet if: * merging database is faster * deduping databases is faster / better quality But if this thenCB9 is must really a plus over CB8 Have a look here: Part 1: http://www.chessbase.com/newsdetail.asp?newsid=1971 Part 2: http://www.chessbase.com/newsdetail.asp?newsid=1972 Part 3: later on
