Thanks for the info. I value the Shredder 7/8 opening book and your work with
it. It has helped me win some critical games.

There is one aspect of it that I'd like to ask about...

When there are no more sample games left in the database, or when there are only
a few, you sometimes indicate an opening continuation simply with a single line
of moves that you consider best. Sometimes this may go quite aways, perhaps 5-10
moves beyond the end of the database sample games. Typically this line has a "!"
or a "?" after every move. I can usually understand the lines that use "!", but
often have problems with the lines that use "?" because no alternative move is
suggested. Maybe you intend to convey that the line is bad, but there is no
better move - any clarification appreciated.

I look forward to Shredder 9, and wonder if it will be released as an engine for
the Chessbase (Fritz 8) GUI, or only for the Classic Shredder GUI?
