CA is more of an allround program allowing you to manage databases, play against a chess program, play online, analyse your games etc. CB is strictly a database, concentrating on managing databases and data mining from those databases. If you do nothing more than save your games in a database, or occasionally look up a position in a big database, the Fritz GUI database options will offer you enough. In that case I think CA is also a waste of money, to be honest. J.
