Yikes, sorry to hear. That is one small problem about buying online. Luckily I haven't had any problems yet but I'm sure it will someday. I'm still keeping my eye open for a robotic arm machine that's less than $100. Either pre-built, or instructions for making at home. Remember a while back seeing a post on how to make your own using LEGO robotics parts but the project cost over $500 if memory serves me. By chance do you have any RS232 enabled machines for interfacing with a computer? If so have you ever tried doing HW vs HW tournaments? Think that would be a neat test... just need 2 serial ports hook them up and use xboard etc... or some software bridge and let them duke it out hehe.
