Shredder 8.0 with around 1.6-1.7 Million nps. On my Dual 2x 2.8GHz Xeon around with 1.1-1.2. I don't know the Opteron system, it seems not very popular here in the town I am working. Companys have more interest on Intel Dual system, all the time. But it's interesting to see how strong the new Opteron is. For me is an updates from 2.8 to 3.6 GHz interesting because this is the max. power for my Tyan board but the processors are to expensive for the moment. The Tyan board I have used max. 12GB RAM. I have 6x 1GB RAM (6x 2GB is possible) but the complete system is slower if I add the RAM. With 2 or 4GB RAM under XP Pro the system is faster. Best Frank
