Sorry I forgot the version of Arena. Ver 1.092. The problem happens seldom. Maybe one in 50 games. And not only to my program. I've seen Arena hung when loading Movei and Gandalf, and maybe others, but I don't recall now. First time I saw the problem, I studied Averno's logs because I have all the I/O there. On the other hand, I see no problem in my other computer (win 2k, single processor, ponder off), so I guess it's either related to OS or (most probably) ponder on. I also want to note that this happens far more often when I use nunn-like test games than normal games from the starting position. If you or Martin want me to do some specific test and send log files, just email me with the instructions. I'll try to help. José C.
