And Shredder ...
Shredder is the number one in version 7.04 or 8.0.
Every little improvment Stefan can for sell because Stefan is the number 1!
A little advantage for Stefan Meyer-Kahlen. Shredder 9.0 only 20 ELO more and we
are happy, clear that nobody can find out that a program from around 2.700 ELO
is improved with 20 ElO.

Hi,

sorry but this is not fully correct.

Shredder 8 CB was the upgrade to Shredder 7 CB look the SSDF list to see how
much better it is.

Shredder 8 UCI is the upgrade of Shredder 704 UCI (In this case one needs to buy
Shredder 8 CB and register for Shredder Classic. One can argue that this is more
expensive than Shredder 7, but still less than Deep Fritz 8)

Unfortunately SSDF did not test Shredder 8 UCI with Shredder Classic interface,
but it is sure it is stronger than Shredder 8 CB, so the above statements are
not 100% correct.

Also it is not true that we would be happy with 20 Elo points improvements. We
are working a lot to make real improvements...if we are quiet it is because we
are working.

We are not making any claims because the new version is not ready, so we do not
know yet how much stronger it will be...I call this "professional".

Sandro
