Try bigger options (sorting big database, delete doubles, much other things). I switched to XP start of this year and my favourite database program (after the trouble I have with CB7). The reason I buy ChessBase 9.0 after bad experience with CB8. With CB9 I am really happy. No problems with all what I tryed so far! Best Frank
