Subject: Immortal game?

Author: Ed Schröder

Date: 02:23:27 11/07/04

Last night I played a game against my own brainchild, I sometimes still do that.
The game got interesting when I played a wild sacrifice which I couldn't oversee
till the end but as it seems is correct after all. It's my bet (in case the
sacrifice is correct) no engine will find this move.

I want to find out if the sac is correct so I can label this game as my own
personal immortal game.

Here is the game and the critical positions, please start your engines...

Position after 10..cxd4, move to find 11.h5!!

[d]rnbq1rk1/pp1n1p1p/4p1p1/3pP1NP/1b3P2/1PpB4/P1P3P1/R1BQK2R b KQ - bm Qc7;

12..Qc7 looks like a smart defence (see the game) but is it really the best
move? Else I think the rest is forced. I think this is the critical position.

[d]rnb2r1k/pp3pqB/4p3/3p4/1b6/1Pp5/P1P3P1/R1BQK2R w - - bm Qh5;

Position after 19..Kh8, move to find 20.Qh5! This (I guess) will be already hard
enough to find for many engines.
