What do you want to use it for? In case you want to use it to look for tactical
shots/mistakes in your analyis lines, Shredder 8 might be worth a buy. I use it
to look for holes in opening analysis and it is clearly faster and finds more
than Fritz.

In case you want to use it to help you generate your moves in your games I think
Fritz might still be the better tool, due to its more realistic evaluations.
