No. The code in egtb.cpp is the low level access code written by Eugene Nalimov.
You will use it unchanged or with very few very minor changes at the top, where
the code gets configured. You would probably need to write functions similar to
those in probe.c of crafty.

It shouldn't be very difficult. It took me a few hours. BTW. you can find
tbgen.zip (with probe.txt) at ftp://darkside.its-s.tudelft.nl/
