Hi Jason,

I've posted these thoughts on the Winboard forum also, but as not all CCC
members visit there, I thought some here might be interested also.

As I've said all along, CM10th Edition is a definite improvement over CM9000.
It's much more well balanced and I'm struggling to find areas where a lot of
adjustment needs to be made to the default settings, unlike CM9000.
Thus the Creep setting uses default positional values with slightly adjusted
material settings and selectivity 14.
A chess friend of mine is running a 40/2hrs tournament on a dual Opteron with
ponder on involving all the top programs and CM 10th Default with selectivity 14
is half a point ahead of Shredder 8 after 14 rounds.
Ray is giving the Creep settings a further run in a 40/2hrs tournament that he's
currrently running also, so will keep you posted on how it goes.

My thoughts on CM10th with regard to any adjustments at this stage (this could
be my next settings try):
Control of centre=105, possibly 110 (CM10th frequently overwhelms its opponents
through superior flank play though)
Mobility=100 (fine as is)
King Safety=100, possibly 105 (seems okay in this area unlike CM9000 default)
Passed Pawns=100 (own) 110 (opp) - needs to be a bit more careful of opponent
passers.
Pawn Weaknesses=115 or 120 (own) 100 (opp)

Regards, Graham.
