I had hoped, that a real API function would do something more clever, than asm
RDTSC.

BTW. The time was correct on an unloaded CPU, and was running too slow on a
heavily loaded CPU. One would hope, that they don't reduce clock speed under the
loaded machine, while running full speed when idle.
