Hey don't tell me... I've spent days trying to make ReadFile() work with
multithreading! :-)

I think that's now the realm of real-time OS'es, the Windows NT kernel was
designed for a different goal. BTW I've also looked up the multimedia functions
timeGetTime() and timeGetSystemTime() and at a first glance they don't seem to
help also...
