the estimate is reliable
but you are correct
however this is a symptom of the current sad state of affairs in the dedicated
chess computer market today
most people interested in strong playing ability can purchase  a $30-$40 PC
SOFTWARE program that can play at near Super GM ability,so the few makers of
dedicated computers that remain concentrate on price and features for the work-
a -day casual player
