Im new to chess have been playing on and off thru out the years.
Everytime I get to a point where I just hit a mental block and it just
goes downhill from there and loose interest.
This time around something is different and I wish to learn more. I have bought
books which I still havent read but but learning so much information where Im
trying to practice what Im reading and it just seems my game is worse than
before. Maybe Im trying to hard or just trying to do to many things at once who
knows?
I love chess and its the most fascinating game to me that words cant really
express.
I would like to know if there are any chess clubs in suffolk county?
Im looking to meet people where I can learn how I can improve my game and
exchange ideas etc....
Also does anyone know of maybe a chess tutor in suffolk?
I dont really know where to look since this is all new to me.
I use chessmaster 9000 & fritz 7 programs very helpful but the human aspect is
missing if you know what I mean.
I've crushed players with ratings over 1400 then played players with under 1200
and get pummeled!!! Hmmm when you got it you got and when you dont you dont.
Its weird how some days i can look at the board and make all the right moves but
on Most days just get Killed on the most simplest mistakes.
I want to improve no matter what it takes for game that can take a lifetime to
master!
any help will be appreciated! Thanks in advance!
