I've read your original response to Vincent.  I can understand why a moderator
would take issue with it. You didn't need to take a poke at Vincent, you could
have just said it and gone on.  So I can understand them doing something,
although I would hope that the most they'd do is ask you to be nice to Vincent.

What concerns me is that you found yourself on the ground with a foot on your
neck.  You're right, the tone of that mail is awful.  I've met you and I've been
reading your posts for years, it is impossible to understand why anyone would
react to you like that.

I think the premise that moderation issues are off-topic is dead wrong.  People
need to be able to express concerns (and ideas) about moderation without being
immediately subjected to it.
