The latter. I have run numerous tests with UCI engines in both interfaces and
found no differences other than the expected ones of functionality. Ed Schroder
showed that engine-engine matches between a UCI engine and a CB engine in the CB
GUI can show differences favoring the CB engine if it is loaded first. It's
weird, but he is very thorough, and the problem was recognized by a top CB
programmer. So, other than checking what you're doing in the Arena GUI, I'd
recommend being sure that the UCI engine is loaded first in the CB GUI if you're
planning on matching it against a CB engine.
