Steve,

I was not making myself entirely clear, but I did interpret your post as
"!computer."

What I meant was the !computer accounts "allow" humans to play them.  Many
titled players do play them, but in the course of a day, their history shows
many ~ 1600 - 1800 ratings or lower. This is simply the residue from having
!computer in a formula when titled players no longer wish to play. I have never
challenged a human on ICC, and don't wish to play them, so I assume comps cannot
challenge humans, but I don't know.  I think you are being conservative with
"close to half of the ICC computer players have !computer in their formula."

I suppose getting kicks out of defeating Titled players 1 0 - 5 0 at blitz all
day long is some sort of gratification.  Of course, it's a two way street....
