Yes, MChess 8 here too. But typing in the megs only works if you are in
Dos-mode, it doesn't work inside a Dos-box in Win95. To get hashtables inside a
dos box you have to start MChess with one of the w parameters, like w2 for 60 kb
of hash. This is the maximum I can get in a dos-box, 60 kb. You can type in
lower values then of course, but not more, and absolutely not megabytes. Or am I
still missing something?

(Btw. you should see the message "Hashing xxx positions in xx Kbytes" in the
lower part of the screen, when adjusting the hashtable size. If this message
doesn't appear MChess doesn't use any hashtables at all.)
