For a number of reasons: 1. Win 95/NT is multitasking... 2. 32 bit code flies on the P2/Pro chips...16 bit is a joke nowadays. I.E. wcrafty on my P133 notebook scores a pathetic 0.30 with the bench command. My PPro 233 scores a 1.29 in WinNT and 1.27 on Win95. 3. Pleasing to the eye. 4. Standard interface. 5. DOS is dead to most people...I use it for file work, etc.
