I did not try that engine but you can expect weak engines not to have a book
because at the weak levels the programmer can improve the engine more by
implemnting things like hash and null move book and not by implementing a book.

The engine by definition can only calculate and not think so you can expect it
not to display any thinking but I understand what you mean.

Note that if you play game against human opponent he also does not display any
thinking and only play the move that he finds as the best and I thought that the
only reason to download weak engine is for playing and not for analyzing.
