I tested whole weekend Fritz Bilbao = Fritz 8.1.2.0 from August 2004. I didn't notice any big difference over Fritz 8.0.0.8 when playing short games against Shredder and Ruffian. So the progress in 2 years is very mnimal, but may be bigger when playing against humans and/or bigger time control. In test suites I noticed big improvement in some tactical tests, but also impairment in endgame test. At least here when tested with 4 piece TBs, Fritz dont solve this at all: [D] 8/k7/8/2R5/8/4q3/8/4B2K w - - It never finds Bg3 and even never acceess TBs!! but plays Kg2... Considering updated UIF there are most of the bugs from 1 years old version and even some new. Like You cannot adjudicate running game in engine matches! Why? Jouni
