If so Shredder really plays at 2800 elo level!!!!!!!??????? >or here: >http://www.elhchess.demon.co.uk/ehss.htm All these lists are carried out with Computer playing against another Computer and not vs Humans.Shredder again shows elo 2700 then where is Hydra? 2800 perhaps 2900 (Kasparov level) still it was losing in 2 games in Bilbao. Can u give me Rating list of Ded. units playing against Humans (rated, IM, GM level?) if u find one. I m sorry but all these ratings seem unrealistic. > >>>U r interested more in Dedicated Units because u r a collector. > > >if you read my post you would see i replied as a CHESS PLAYER..not as a >collector Then why u collect so many units and can never be satisfied with the strongest one which has the most beautiful board ? From this I perceived that u r a genuine collector! nothing wrong in that. (U can do the same with Chess Programs (PC) by adjusting their strength.) My earlier post was for all improving players. If ur chess is beyond improvement then above is correct with u(with no disrespect) , probably I will do the same after mine does but for a prodigy who wants to improve himself from 2200 to 2400 and so on analysing with Chess Program is more fruitful and u can not do it more effectively with Ded. Units. > >>> >>ok as such my last post was not to offend u but just my opinion so sorry if i >>have hurt u. > >i was not hurt >i was simply correcting your erroneous posting Our views r different and from my view urs is erroneous and vice versa. > >>I beleive in analysing with Chess Programs and not playing against >>them to improve ur game. > >well i guess we have a different definiton as to what a chess PLAYER is >to me a chess PLAYER is one who PLAYS a game of CHESS >not that i am in any way saying analysing is not fun or interesting but it is >not the same as playing a game of chess against an opponent >i could not recommend paying $2000 FOR A Tasc computer to analyse a chess >position >your $30 chess program will do that just fine >but i can recommend a Tasc computer to play a very strong game of chess with > >Steve I believe in analysing with Chess Program to improve ur Game (Analysis of different positions is more important then playing a game against PC Programs) Nowhere above I mentioned that u can not play against Humans. Definitely playing against Humans improves ur game. Regards Peter
