Subject: Collector's Corner..The Hard Work Involved..

At first blush one would think that finding the computer itself is all that is
required, however for many collector's this is only the starting point.
Some Genuine collector's are concerned with finding a complete package for a
particular model
this would include..
Original box
Original packing materials
Original manual
Original Pieces
and some collector's even go so far as wanting the original Adaptor(power
supply)

actually some of these auxillary items are very hard to come by and are highly
sought after in their own right
take for example the CXG 3000 series of computers
the computers themselves are not very difficult to find but the ORIGINAL BOXES
are almost immpossible to find
or the Saitek President manual
i have never seen an Original manual..always a copy of a manual
i think Saitek sold the computers with a copy only

sometimes a collector will buy a second computer just to get the Original box or
pieces if they dont already have it

this results in what collector's call a "Duplicate list" or Doubles list"

a collection of computers that the collector has which are second copies of the
same computer ..bought because the collector needed an
item(box,manual,pieces,etc)to complete the set..

i for example am always on the prowl for the manual of the Applied Concepts TSB
IV La Regence or the original boxes to any of the CXG 3000 series

Best
Steve
