IIRC there is a slight speed difference in both versions favoring the UCI
version. But the difference is that small that to "prove" the advantage you
would need a couple of thousand games. In practice the pure engines in the CB
Version are identical.

Sandros 25 points are refering to the much much better book for the Classic GUI!
(I do support his view in this!)
