I am expecting Gandalf 6 to place highly in SSDF tests. I've watched it play numerous times on Playchess from the early betas through the release version. It appears to have a very polished book and greatly improved tactics. Its depth is also quite impressive vs. 4.32 -- Steen has obviously worked heavily on its pruning. I believe some very strong engines will be released from December through March so it may not be an easy feat, but I am expecting Gandalf 6 will still shine bright, on the SSDF list and elsewhere. -elc.
