Go up one level in this thread

Watching the Gandalf 6.0 results and games I am able to tell that it is improved in the endgame, but still has problems with possible passed pass candidates. The book is also improved; quite a bit over the previous releases. Dan Wulff has done an excellent job there. So based off what I know from Gandalf, can see what changes/improvements have been made I can make a fairly safe estimate that it is around the 50 elo improvement. For the advertising to state that it has a playing strength increase of 100 elo over version 5.0 is something they have to be very careful with. Many people who read this thread have the same opinion. I know this because despite them posting it here and taking the level of heat I have, they have privately emailed me and stated the same expectations. Some of these people are/were in fact very high supporters of Gandalf. I am predicting a much safer margin for improvement, and a lower margin of error there in. Peter
