Yes and no. Watching the Gandalf 6.0 results and games I am able to tell that it
is improved in the endgame, but still has problems with possible passed pass
candidates.

The book is also improved; quite a bit over the previous releases. Dan Wulff has
done an excellent job there.

So based off what I know from Gandalf, can see what changes/improvements have
been made I can make a fairly safe estimate that it is around the 50 elo
improvement. For the advertising to state that it has a playing strength
increase of 100 elo over version 5.0 is something they have to be very careful
with. Many people who read this thread have the same opinion. I know this
because despite them posting it here and taking the level of heat I have, they
have privately emailed me and stated the same expectations. Some of these people
are/were in fact very high supporters of Gandalf.

I am predicting a much safer margin for improvement, and a lower margin of error
there in.
