>actually no >i automatically thought of "retro" as meaning before 1990 OK. Well we can make up our own definition of retro as it applies to chess computers. Pre 1990 fine. For my list I had in mind the early days. 20 years+ ago when strange, often unsuccessful designs and features, with dubious claims of ELO 1500-1600, seduced us into parting with our hard earned. The days of big clunky controls and keying in moves. I like those machines. >here was my favorites as published on Kurt's site >mind you this list was culled a few years ago..amazing how things change >my list would be much different today >scroll down till you get to no.37 >thats me: Yes. I have seen this list. You gave 9 points to the CC1. But you did give a vote for Boris also. Steve is there anyone else in the line-up apart from your goodself who is not either German,Austrian,Dutch (or Swedish)? >this coupled with your 10 retro list is a truly remarkable collection >you own all of these? >Impressed Regards >Steve Yes this motley collection, along with too many others fills my study and loft. Mostly 20 year+ oldtimers.
