I would love to see posts that deal with programming archived into a separate
section that covers a lot more time - if we truly only see a handful of
programming posts in a week, there is no reason that a much longer time period
could not be archived.  I was recently speaking to another programmer about the
dangers of null move at small search depths and I tried to direct him to a post
made here, of course it was not still in the archive.  I think that an archive
of the programming posts here could be a lasting valuable resource, whereas an
archive of "CM6000 sucks!" serves little to no purpose at all, IMO.

I don't really care how this comes about - it could be through placing
programming posts in a separate board, or by marking posts as programming
related through a check box when making them.  In the worst case, a human could
even go through and categorize them for archiving, perhaps a moderator (as if
they don't already have enough to do...  but they should be looking at each post
already in order to do their job).  I like to read both the programming and the
non programming posts, so I don't care if the posts are separated.  I'd just
like to be able to go back to programming posts from the previous months for
reference.
