I assume you allready have installed Gandalf 6 as a UCI engine and that the
Gandalf book is in the same directory as the Gandalf60.exe

Here is what I did for the Shredder Classic GUI:

1. Load Gandalf 6
2. Right click in the Engine Menu, click on "engine options"
3. There you see one option called "BookPath" with the entry ".\"
4. The ".\" entry means that Gandalf is searching for the book in its own
folder. Of course you are free to enter any path you want.
5. delete the ".\" (blank field now)
6. Click on "create engine"
7. Name the new Engine "Gandalf 6 no book"
8. Click on OK

Done.

Now you have two Gandalf6 engines. One is called "Gandalf 6" which is, if you
installed the book in the same forlder as the Gandalf60.exe, using its book and
a second one named "Gandalf 6 no book" which is NOT using its book.

Of course you can give the path to the book and name the new engine "Gandalf 6
with book" if you want to.

Easy, isnt it?

Bye
Ingo
