If you have to choose, take the Fritz 5.32. Why ? Because it is the only complete package ! It has a database and also the endgame CD ROM. Junior 5.0 has neither one. Also it is newer and a lot of the problems in the Junior GUI were fixed in the Fritz 5.32 version. The difference in strength is not worth worrying about and if anything,Fritz 5.32 may be a little better. Fritz also understands underpromotion, Junior 5 does not. I like Junior's style more but that's an intangible thing that I can't explain. One thing about Fritz is it likes a lot of RAM for hash tables. Jim Walker
