I don't think this question has a 'yes' or 'no' answer. I think the answer is,
'it depends'. Some play better while looking at a computer screen, while others
play better while looking at a real, physical chess board.

Let me ask you a different question. Are humans more accurate at shooting guns
when they are shooting virtual guns using a computer (i.e. video games) or when
they shoot real, physical guns?

The answer is, 'it depends'. A military sniper will be better shooting a real
gun, while a teenager who plays 3D shoot-em-up video games 8 hours a day will be
better shooting a virtual gun on a computer screen.
