Subject: Chessbase import games into opening book problem

I searched the CCC archives and found a few threads where people cant get the CB
"import games into opening book" to work. I couldnt find any posts with
solutions :(

Well I have this problem. I always get the same error message :

New positions : 0

I've tried importing PGN and Chessbase files into new and old opening books.
I am using the latest CB GUI. I even tried installing my old Shredder 6 to test
an old CB GUI but no luck ..same problem

The "import book" and "learn from database" functions work fine. The "import
games" does not.

Any ideas ?
