Crash???
You don't have the libraries required to compile them!
You need newer versions of the libraries.
Kdevelop:
Qt >= Qt 3.2

Anjuta:
glib-2.0 >= 2.0.6 gtk+-2.0 >= 2.0.8   ORBit-2.0 >= 2.4.0      libglade-2.0 >=
2.0.0
etc.

Get a newer linux distro. It is highly likely that both Kdevelop and Anjuta will
already be supplied, or use www.rpmfind.net to find a rpm for your distribution.
Then you can install the rpms (su to root first) like so:
rpm -ivh <rpm file>
