I have noticed that shredder and other uci engines do not update as often as the native programs. Another factor could be that shredder is using the end game tables. I suggest setting up a mate that takes around 2 - 3 mins on all Gui's set with the same hash table size on the same pc and checking the times to display mate. Let us know how you get on. Regards Mike
