I had this problem also.Or perhaps still have.In my case I was able to make new books from games import function at times and then it would not work for ages.I had long conversations with a tech at chessbase but despite his good efforts nothing worked.One day out of frustration, I was trying to make a book of a new opening I was trying,(nothing was working and the database had no errors)I clicked on tools then on factory settings and then reset to default.Next I tried to import games and Lo it worked.I have not tried to repeat this as that night I took advantage and made all the books I could.Now is a good oportunity to try and verify if this was an accident or it works consistantly.In any event best of luck.You cannot beleive the lengths I went to over this issue.Regards Andrew
