Hello Peter,

Not to seem dense but speaking as a Winboard fan myself, why did you not use
that interface to conduct your on-line match?

Also, are you satisfied that your test match is sufficient to conclude one way
or the other?  About the bugs in the interface yes, the games are enough but
about the relative strength of the engine.....

Marketing hype is marketing hype.  When results are released for Engine X (even
for cars) it is always with the fine print at the bottom that says experienced
drivers, closed course etc.  I generally do not go for it.  I think more data
would be needed though.

Of course, the feeling of let down (regardless of the objective facts) is real.
I know.

Somehow my free Winboard and UCI engines have yet to let me down.

Ps.  I like the work you have been doing on your site.  All those files so
easily accessible to my grasping fingers.  Much appreciated.
