so far i did reset countermove and killertables after every move.
I tried to reuse tables after the other engines does its move but
based on 400 games i face a loss of 4%.
In the countermove-table i save the depth where the countermove was
found. This depth information gets decremented by two when my
engine has to analyse again.
The killerheuristic does first try the last killer (per ply) found,
than the other killer-moves. The killer-list does not store the
number of times the move was successful, but a new killer is always
added to the end of the killerlist and can progress in the killer-list
only if it was successful.
My question : how are you handling your counter and killertables
in a game and are you able to confirm my observation?
kind regards juergen
