... and THAT'S why it is useful to post interim results! Thank you, David. I have now cleared all the old Shredder, Sjeng and Gandalf position learning files and set up versions of the engines with learning disabled, and have restarted the match. Clearly, Gandalf had the most to gain by position learning in this sort of match! This is the second time I have restarted it because this morning I found that the Ruffians, the little scamps, were still using their own books. Watch this space ...
