Even for those that purchase the program legally a 30 day check is nothing to whine about. Even with the current anti-piracy schemes offered by Chessbase (Having to enter the cd on the first run), they are no where near what they need to be. The only program to date with an excellent cd-checking system is Shredder. I will not go into detail on what is consists of, but it is one of the better ones. Being part of many anti-piracy agencies for both software and music, and an advocate for better anti-piracy methods and penalties it is nice to see some authors taking steps to protect their work.
