While I totally agree with you that users like you and I will be the ones
inconvienced, I am totally for the authors protecting their work. Before all it
was just a simple cd check and it was done. This was done by the interface
itself and nothing more (excluding Shredder).

Convekta does in fact use a great cd checking scheme.

No the best anti-piracy protection is what took place with Chess Tiger 2004.

I can _guarantee_ that you will not find that program in the "scene" as they
call it. One of the groups that I belong to has made sure of that.

Unfortunately there are others that got by us...
