I know this because Chessbase has told me so. The "Deluxe" version is in stores, but not the "Championship" edition that mimic is using. In fact no retailer has a version of Fritz 8 that contains Fritz 8.1.2.0 (Bilbao). I am told that is sold _exclusively_ online. I purchased the "Deluxe" version about 13 days ago, and the engine was version 8.1.1.0, the same as the X3D version. It is _impossible_ for him to have purchased it in the morning yesterday.. Thanks to prior emails from this individual, I know where he got it.. that is why hasn't answered. Peter
