I know you are the expert here on all this, but surely a succession of seemingly
overpriced auctions is simply telling us that prices for these rare machines (at
least in terms of current supply to the market) is establishing itself quite
higher than we expect and is also seemingly rising.

Of course it is not a liquid market at all so there will be volatility in the
prices.

But the fact remains - most collectors won't sell, so what few machines that do
become available will often be chased to these new price levels.

You may recall I sold my collection earlier this year and it went for more than
double I had estimated. I had thought I simply got lucky and it was a one-off,
but since then we've all seen many instances of high priced sales.

If only you weren't joking a few days ago when you talked of a fantastic new
development in dedicated machines coming soon. I do miss mine!

Nick
