well could be,but i am watching ebay now for 4 years and never saw these prices
Collector's dont want to sell,your right,not then and not now
so why the spike up now?
perhaps all of these discussiomns on the CCC is having an impact in price as
well?
4 years ago i doubt if one out of 1000 posts here were about the old computers
now perhaps 1 out of 100?

most of the absurd prices usually are bewteen an German Ebay seller and buyer..
but this last one was all USA(buyer and seller)
another factor COULD be ..it is the holiday buying season and perhaps people are
willing to just pay what it takes to get something they want

i wonder if a Mephisto Wooden Suitcase with NO chess computer inside,in fact
with NOTHING inside, would get close to $500 if the auction was in July?
